Guns, blood, love, explosions, joints, you name it you got it in this movie. This film is an action-comedy about a young stoner going through his regular boring life, which somehow turns into a bloodbath in order to save his girlfriend. I was entertained throughout the entire film, there was plenty of action, but I enjoyed the comedy more than anything. The movie was full of quirky moments that had me laughing. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart have good on screen chemistry. Stewart’s acting was strange as usual but it seemed to work for this film. What I enjoyed most was John Leguizamo’s character as the drug dealer, almost every one of his lines were very funny. I guess I was expecting more of a story line from this film and I do not plan on watching it again anytime soon.

My Review: imagesimagesimagesimagesimages copy

My heart was racing! As a family arrives to their new home in South East Asia, a political uproar occurs and they have to fight for survival and seek asylum in a bordering country. This movie is 1 ½ hours of intense action. Owen Wilson went for a much more serious role rather than his usual funny characters and he did an awesome job. The story however is very hard to believe, it seems as if the entire city is trying to kill this family and they somehow manage to escape while everyone else kills each other, but hey that’s Hollywood!! I loved this movie, it was very suspenseful, I had to take a couple of deep breaths throughout the film I could not wait for what was going to happen next. Definitely check this film out!
