Do not miss out on this highly anticipated Alejandro G. Iñárritu film. Your eyes will be captivated from beginning to the end. The movie is a masterpiece with miles  and miles of beautifully shot landscapes, violent battles, an amazing bear attack, and an incredible story of man vs. nature.

The film is an American Western  taking place back in the 1800’s. Based on true events, while a group of hunters were searching for pelts, they were ambushed by a Native American tribe. Only a few of the hunters survived the hostile battle, and in those few were Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his son Hawk. Being a more experienced explorer of the group, Hugh was able to escape from the tribe, by guiding his group in a very difficult expedition through the wilderness. This journey  included extreme weather conditions, limited food, a brutal bear attack, the murder of his son, and being left to die by one of his fellow group members John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). However, wth all of his courage, anger, strength, and passion Hugh Glass manages to survive and search for the man who murdered his son.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy portray an epic story of betrayal, survival, and revenge. Viewers experience the struggles of a man and the length he would for something that he loves. DiCaprio and Hardy did an amazing job in this film. They were definitely committed to their roles and it shows in every scene. I would definitely recommend everyone to watch this movie, it will leave you wanting more.

Could this get DiCaprio his long- overdue Oscar? We will have to wait and see…
