It took a while but on May 4, 2016 the new Horton Plaza expansion is complete! The park includes an outdoor amphitheater, restored water fountain, food & beverage pavilions, and plenty of seating area. I decided to take a look at the new downtown spot and  it is perfect for a date, relaxing, walking your dog, or a break after your Horton Plaza Shopping. Currently there is a Starbucks Coffee Shop, Sloan’s Ice Cream Shop, and musical events to enjoy while you walk around the park. Im sure this park will be a great asset to the city of San Diego.
